Announcing the new ISTH Claire McLintock Award

The ISTH has opened the application period for the ISTH Claire McLintock Award, a new opportunity for early-career researchers dedicated to advancing women's health issues in the fields of thrombosis and hemostasis.

Named in honor of Claire McLintock, M.D., whose pioneering contributions have significantly enhanced understanding and awareness of women's health in thrombosis and hemostasis, this award provides essential funding and professional development opportunities. The awarded project will become a formal SSC project.

One award will be granted in October 2025. Proposals must be submitted by an ISTH member.

Award Components:

  • Research Grant: $20,000 USD to support an innovative research project focused on women's health issues in thrombosis and hemostasis. Research proposals may span basic, clinical, or translational research.
  • Travel Fellowship: A portion of the funding should be used to support travel and accommodation expenses for up to two months at a collaborating research center, facilitating knowledge exchange and collaboration.
