ISTH SSC issues new grants to fund innovative new projects in thrombosis and hemostasis research
The International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) announces five recipients of its 2025 Scientific and Standardization Committee (SSC) grant awards. This annual program provides essential funding to support groundbreaking research and advance the SSC’s mission of establishing important standards in thrombosis and hemostasis.
The SSC operates as a permanent committee of the ISTH with independent authority of its scientific program, reporting to the ISTH Council. Through collaborations with global organizations, the SSC fosters innovation and develops internationally recognized guidelines and standards in the field. The SSC is comprised of 21 subcommittees, alongside one working group, one standing committee and the executive committee.
“The SSC grant awards exemplify the ISTH’s commitment to inspiring innovation and supporting impactful projects that shape the future of thrombosis and hemostasis research,” said ISTH SSC Chair Kathleen Freson. “We are proud to celebrate the achievements of the 2025 recipients and their contributions to the field.”
The program offers two tiers of grant funding: large grant awards with funding of up to $50,000 USD and small grant awards with funding up to $20,000 USD.
The 2025 recipients are as follows:
